Hailing from Santa Clara, CA, I was introduced to music and the arts at an early age. I began my musical journey at the age of three when my grandfather introduced me to the mandolin. I soon moved on to guitar, and was self-taught until beginning formal lessons at age eleven. I have now been playing & teaching guitar for over 30 years. I began teaching private guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons at the age of sixteen and went on to study music composition and live performance in college. I have been a fixture in the Bay Area music scene for many years, and was the guitarist for local band Divided By Seven. Currently, I am the guitarist for Sons Of Theo.
I have written and published my own guitar instruction book, as well as a curriculum for every level. While I typically prefer to use a structured and progressive curriculum, I always customize the course of my lessons to meet the needs of each individual student. My aim is to ensure that each student leaves their lesson a better guitar player, as well as a better musician, and pass on to my students the art of creativity through the medium of music.
