My Name is Ryan Acosta,  the owner of Fat Hat Music.  I have been teaching guitar for over 30 years

and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Guitar

Performance from Berklee College of Music,

where I graduated summa cum laude. I have

performed in numerous bands, including

Divided By Seven and Sons Of Theo, and

continue to perform and record as a solo artist.

I have written and published my own guitar instruction book, as well as a curriculum for every level. While I typically prefer to use a structured and progressive curriculum, I always customize the course of my lessons to meet the needs of each individual student. My aim is to ensure that each student leaves their lesson a better guitar player, as well as a better musician, and pass on to my students the art of creativity through the medium of music.
